A lot of obvious fantasy themes in this show. Luminaria is probably the most badass character introduced so far. There's a lot of JRPG-ish like action as expected from a fantasy anime. Not going to lie, Mira's appearance this episode was cute and slightly amusing. She just casually appears and puts her clothes on like a video game protagonist. "I am cute" lol

Yet another Isekai VRMMORPG that's SAO-like, the 2nd one thus far after Wednesday's Leadale, this Ark Earth Online.
The Nine Wise Men group which are essentially the Kingdom of Alcait's guards, each and every one of them are strong in their own right. Of all of them, the powerful magician Dunblf Gandagore is the MC, a one-man army, before he mysteriously disappeared (creating the Wandering of the Elders incident) and reverted to a loli known as the "I am cute" Mira.
Being a Studio A-CAT production, be prepared to see some ass low-budget CGI in here.
A pretty bare-bones introduction, I need to see more, espeically for the last few minutes being "show, don't tell".

Part A is a typical background introduction story. Nothing too interesting. The weird J-Pop song during the fight scene felt a little out of place.
Part B was more interesting. I think the BGM and the no dialogue format was a JRPG homage, as it really reminded me of opening movies of many JRPGs.
We'll see how it goes from here on out.

Well, it was mostly copy and paste stuff, but definitely not a bad start. I like the characters.
The last 5 minutes without dialogue were hilarious.

This was bad... really bad.
I love the colorful LN illustrations to death, so maybe I was expecting a bit much, but even then this episode just looked like trash. First episodes usually look much better than the rest of the season, so if the first episode is already this atrocious how will later episodes look like? I'm expecting that 90% will be still frames and panning shots, with characters being off model half the time.
The direction was also an utter mess, why start with Dunbalfs backstory and then leave a third of the episode completely voiceless?
Such a disappointment...

This was... something alright. I don't think I would even classify this as mediocre. That 5-minute long slideshow at the end was appalling.

This is one of the worst series I have ever watched. Mostly boring slideshows, bland and bad CGI. No effort seen. At least the song sang by the angel was nice.

But uh that.. wasn't great in general was it lol. The parody elements aside, having a 5 minute montage-like slideshow for no apparent reason felt weirdly out of place and the whole thing feels like a low-budget production

This season's already off to an abysmal start but man it's only getting worse and worse and worse with premieres like this. Somehow Orient won't be the worst premiere I've seen among the few so far after this one lol.

I'm glad they spent some time on them as their old man character first rather than just jumping straight into it. Same as what the Greatest Assassin anime did.
I can already tell I'm gonna really like this. Its great to be able to add 2 isekai anime to my collection from this season alone and both are starting off great.
Also I really like that they're a summoner. The only Isekai OP character we have who is a summoner is Ainz so this'll be nice. Those valkyries he summoned were pretty.

Not gonna lie the first episode kinda disappoints me. They leave the important part and spend almost 20 minutes just to show some background story which I think does not necessarily have to be that long. The last part of the episode is just like a slide show with some BG music. Totally look like a budget animation not to mention the worst CGI. Most of the anime with the same kind of story would only give 5-10 minutes for the intro and background story and 2 out of 3 with the important part which explain the starting point for the anime. If the first episode is already like this, I don't know how the other episode gonna be.

I want to wring the neck of the director and everyone who are responsible for this mess. The first five minutes were great to set up the world and importance of the Kingdom even if it was like parody version ofoff brand JRPG in anime, then they had to ruin it with that stupid battle scene which wasn't even in the novels. This adaptation is abysmal even by my very low standard and will put off new comers to the series. The mfers should have just followed the novel or the Manga. I knew adaptation would be bad but i didn't think it would be this bad. Land of Leadale is my number 1, confirmed! Those who like this better read the manga or the novels, it's much better than wasting you time with the anime. Mt heart cries for the creator ek was forced into this. This brings back imouto sae iraeba ii and what that the glasses kun had to face. Now i rush Muse Asia had the license for Leadale insted of this mess. TAROOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Alright, I like the premise of the series and I find the explanation of the game and the world interesting. But the production quality is killing me, especially the cgi, in this anime. I'm reading a comment above that even says that it's not adapting the LN well (I don't read it, but I've seen illustrations and it's very different from this)...

Should have started out with him being the female character and did more showing instead of telling. Very wonky. I'll stick around for another episode to see if it's better now that they've established things.

About 16 out of 21 minutes describe the world and its story. Only after that we meet the MC.
I'm positive it's gonna be another Isekai BS where it doesn't matter whether the MC is alien or not to the world.

Far worse than expected... Not entirely familiar with the source material but I have to imagine that it's the Director that failed this one.
Incredibly long winded intro, to a pointless battle that features Gandolf the "summoner????" which is strange, and incredibly pointless to show anyone. The OOC RP talks, unless it has some substantial purpose to the story.
The silent film ending, also felt out of place, is this a trend? Will most of the series end up being a sequence of silent films?
I ended the episode more confused than I started it. A lot of pointless things happened, and very little of the episode set the stage for the story, it may have done something to build a "setting" I guess? However, without reading the synapsis, I would have absolutely no idea what is going on.

I just wanted to check the airing schedule only to find out it's already rated 5.70 score. I don't even have the courage to watch this now, one of my most awaited adaptation. The most i can hope for is a studio change if season 2 will be a thing. The studio that animates this currently does not have a good reputation.

has everybody forgotten Funimation did an early teaser release of 'Scarlet Nexus' ep1 on their YT channel last season? the first few days that ep of SN was out AN INTERVIEW WITH THE OP BAND WAS AT THE END OF THE EPISODE! Funi cut content/or was provided cut content out of SN ep1 to do that promo.
it's called a 'soft open' people. restaurants/hotels/casinos do this all the time to test their staff, facilities, menus etc. against actual customers. this is just an extended trailer in my-book... for now.
until official broadcast starts, i'm calling this ep0 and waiting for a FULL 24 MINUTE EP1!

Well i have trash taste but this kind of goes even beyond. That CGI was....idk how to even describe it. Didn't really peaked that much of interest in me but will give it 2-3 more eps to see a bit more but its 98% a drop.

This is so Mediocre damn the animation was trash too and also the fcking cgi is low quality as usual. I didn't expect this to be this bad instant drop! This is worser than the shikkakumon no saikyou kenja is there some good isekai every adaptation was trash so far all of them are getting butchered by Money taker studio

Right??? Someone said it was supposed to be like old JRPG which is cool and all but for me it was THE worst way to cap off an episode 1. Especially in an episode that I already had a 2/10 interest in and I really do like fantasy anime even bad ones.
